Comeforbreakfast

Hello!
Did you miss me? Sorry to be missing for such a long time but in recent days I have had a lot of commitments!
Today I propose a marvelous collection of one of the finalists of Who's on Next? a competition for new talents of the Italian fashion! Below you will find some shots of the campaign ... I hope you like it! ciaoooo

Name
Antonio Romano and Francesco Alagna.

Name of the brand, city where is based
"Comeforbreakfast", the brand is based in Milan.
Your style in 3 words
"Chaotic, dynamic, mischievous."
A short story of your brand
"Comeforbreakfast is an independent label created in 2009 by Antonio Romano and Francesco Alagna. The creative duo got together to express their mutual skills in a contemporary fashion project with a crossover philosophy and high design content.
From the debut collection, the design of each garment has steadily evolved until it grew to a full total look with a strong allure: printed garments with original textures – Comeforbreakfast’s signature item – were followed by ultra-modern and structured, well-defined outerwear and an unconventional knitwear line featuring high-end materials. The current collection detailed and structured offering leather jackets, accessories and a soft undergarments range. Comeforbreakfast’s  aesthetic codes translate into an apparently minimalist and simple mood: for each item the research is tireless, aimed to reach a contemporary fit, through a delicate balance among fabrics, wearability and details aiming at  building a new concept of Made in Italy."

What is fashion for you? and your style icon?
"Instinct, enthusiasm and the expression of emotions but also hard work and concreteness. Charlotte Rampling."

The collection you will present in Rome: inspiration, materials, details
"It’s an anticipation of what will be our Spring/Summer 2014 collection, inspired by Gangster Story a film  released in 1967 and directed by Arthur Penn. It will be made up, as usual, of jacquard knitwear, structured leather garments, prints we have created ourselves with various techniques, appliqué and embroideries, summing up a fresh, contemporary and captivating style."

How do you feel to be part of this project?

"We are flattered to be among the finalists, truly glad and excited but at the same time we feel ready, because we are really pleased with the collection we will showcase on 8 July during the finals."

Rome in three words for you
"Ferri, Vitti, Magnani."

A Portrait of : Jourdan Dunn

Hello!
Today I begin with a series of posts "a portrait of" .... Models version!
The First is Jourdan Dunn!

She was discovered in Hammersmith Primark in 2006 and signed to Storm Model Management in London shortly thereafter. In 2008, she was the first black model to walk a Prada runway in over a decade. She has attracted attention because of the lack of black models in the fashion modelling industry.

Here are some of the best look of the model!

Vincent Billeci

Hallo to all !!
Sometimes the expert journalists of Vogue Italia found some new fashion talents ! I choose for U Vincent Billeci from Italy !
Here is a presentation of him and some pics of his last collection !
Enjoy it !
Vincent, born Vincenzo Billeci, chose to change his name to make it sound more ‘French’ when he was very young. Paris for him was an ideal, the symbol of the opulent pomp couture he wanted to quote in his pseudonym. He studied the theory of fashion attending also practical courses that today enable him to follow all the stages of production. Since his debut, he has been creating his clothes in an atelier in Palermo, alongside accessories, created in collaboration with a silversmith in town.
The Fall Winter 2013-14 collection recalls the mood of religious feasts; the ‘candy’ effect surrounding cities in the South, with the moonstones and the sickening caramel smell coming from stalls. Organza, leather and faux leather, lace and macramé, cotton and spider web hemp textiles are combined with a modern graphic twist: a contemporary baroque. The iridescent effect of mint green or cool white blend with black, pink and white. The religious theme is ever-present in Vincent’s aesthetics; the clutch with the silver rose detail is,
for instance, a reference to the cart of Saint Rosalia. He has the need to quote traditions untying them from stereotypes. "My productions enjoy playful sensations that keep going along a rigorous path; an oxymoron that is breathed in constantly in the places of  my childhood. My fashion means to be sensuous, but never provoking or excessive."
